The task board

List, Board and Timeline — three views over one set of tasks.

Task board in the Main menu is where the work lives. Three tabs, one set of tasks — switching views never changes the data, only how you see it.

List

A grouped, sortable table. Best for scanning a lot at once, and for bulk work.

Board

A Kanban of your lists. Drag a card between columns to change its status; drag a column header to reorder. Both stick immediately and appear for teammates within a few seconds without anyone refreshing.

Add a list with the + Add list control at the right-hand end. Anyone who can work on tasks can do this — it is board upkeep, not project administration.

Timeline (Starter and above)

A Gantt-style view: start and due dates as bars, milestones as markers, with month, week and quarter zoom. Drag a bar to move it, drag its edge to resize.

The toolbar

ControlWhat it does
SearchNarrows to matching titles as you type
FilterStatus, priority, assignee, label, item type
ViewSort and group the current view
CustomizeRename and recolour statuses, priorities and types (project managers)

Filters persist as you move between the three tabs, so narrowing in List and switching to Board keeps the same subset.

Everyone sees the same board

Changes propagate to everyone in the project within a few seconds — no refresh. If a teammate is typing in a field when your change lands, their text is never overwritten: updates reconcile field by field rather than replacing the whole task.
