Your first project
Creating a project, picking a team type, and what you get on day one.
A project holds everything: its tasks, lists, members, integrations and reports. Nothing is shared between projects, so a client added to one cannot see any other.
Create one
From Home, click New project, give it a name, and choose a team type.
Team types
The team type renames the built-in roles so they match how your team actually talks. It changes nothing about permissions — only the words.
| Team type | Roles you get |
|---|---|
| Technology & Development | Owner · PM · Designer · Developer · QA · Client |
| Marketing | Owner · PM · Designer · Copywriter · Strategist · Client |
| Creative / Studio | Owner · PM · Designer · Copywriter · Editor · Client |
| General / Business | Owner · PM · Team member · Client |
You can change these later in Roles & access, and rename any role individually.
What is there on day one
Every new project starts with four lists — Backlog, To Do, In Progress and Done — so the board works immediately. Rename or delete them freely; they are a starting point, not a fixed workflow.
Lists are not statuses. Plenty of teams use them as areas of work — "Calendar", "File Manager", "Billing" — and Nalaras is built for that. Reports group by list for exactly this reason.
Renaming and deleting
Hover a project on Home or in the project picker:
- The pencil renames it in place. Available to anyone who can manage the project.
- The trash deletes it. Owners only, and you are asked to type the project name to confirm — with several projects called similar things, a yes/no dialog does not protect you from deleting the wrong one.
Deleting a project removes every task, comment, report and integration in it, for everyone, permanently. There is no undo.
